CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS: Youth Media Committee

Are you motivated, responsible, and ready to take on a challenge?
WHAT:
Philly Youth Media Collaborative, a network of youth media organizations in Philly is forming a Youth Media Committee to develop, plan and promote teen-specific events and programs in collaboration with PYMC. The goal of these programs is to bring together diverse groups of youth to raise visibility around the value of youth voices and perspectives. These programs may be events, workshops, screenings, networking gatherings, etc- to be decided upon by the Committee. The Committee will receive a budget to work with and allocate for their work.
WHO We are looking for:
We are looking for 10 creative, motivated youth to join our programming team.
- Between Ages 16 and 21 years old
- Affiliated with a PYMC organization
- Available to commit to at least 10, 2-hour planning meetings between mid January and May, possibly more.
We are looking for no more than 2 students per supporting organization. Ideally, we are looking for a diversity of representation from different organizations and media forms. The representative will be responsible for communicating back to their organization to gather input, and share the updates from the Youth Committee. Staff can nominate up to 3 youth for consideration.
PYMC will provide tokens, snacks and stipend to all participants who are selected and fulfill their term.
To apply:
Students must be nominated by a staff member of a PYMC affiliated organization. You do not have to be currently enrolled in a program to participate.
