WATCH FILMS. LEARN. GET PAID!

Cinemaniacs (Teen Film Club) will be starting February 8th! Applications are now open to all Philadelphia youth ages 14-19.

Cinemanicacs is a partnership of Big Picture Alliance and Philadelphia Film Society.

Cinemaniacs is an after-school program where teens explore the role of cinema in their lives and society through watching and analyzing a diverse selection of historical and contemporary films. Youth develop a deeper understanding of the evolution and creative process of filmmaking through screenings, discussions, activities & conversations with guest filmmakers. The program provides a safe and supportive learning environment where youth can watch and discuss films with peers & industry professionals.

This Spring, we will be exploring the craft of cinema as we focus on the elements that make a film. From Screenwriting and Cinematography to Editing and Sound Design, we will discover how each component factors into the storytelling process.

And bonus? You get paid to attend. Youth receive a stipend for full participation. If this sounds like something you’d like to sign up for (and why not), here is a quick form to apply:
