The Philadelphia Latino Film Festival (PHLAFF) is internationally recognized and showcases a fantastic array of shorts and features by filmmakers worldwide. This year alone, the festival received over 300 submissions from independent filmmakers. We want to ensure representation from schools in our region.
Eligibility
The Youth Salon looks for submissions by youth under 22 years of age who are Latin American, have Latin American heritage, or identify as Latino/Latinx, and who has at least one of the following roles in the film’s making; writer, actor, director, producer, or editor. Non-English language works must have English subtitles at the time submitted.
Guidelines

Films (or excerpts) should not exceed 20 minutes.

Each film submitted should not be older than two years from the date of the Festival. Festival dates May 30 – June 6, 2021.
